SHADES OF BEIGE SELECTED FOR 2012 LONDON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Little Dude Films' produced short film, Shades of Beige, starring Michelle Dockery and Edward Hogg, has been selected for the 9th London Short Film Festival and was screened at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London in January 2012. The film has also been shortlisted in a number of other film festivals around the world, including the 17th International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece, September 2011; the 34th Starz Denver Film Festival in Colorado, USA, November 2011; the 17th International Short Film Festival in Leuven, Belgium, December 2011; and the 9th International Film Festival in Tirana, Albania, December 2011.

MICHAEL X LEAD ACTOR WINS MAJOR AWARD

Actor Clint Dyer, who is on board to play the lead role in the Little Dude Films/Secret Channel Films co-production of
Michael X, has beaten off some tough competition to win the Screen Nation Film and Television Awards 2011 UK Screen Achievement Award for Male Performance in Film, for his lead role in Sus. He was also nominated for the Independent Spirit Award. The awards were announced at a star-studded ceremony at London’s IndigO2 on Sunday 16th October 2011. The event celebrates the achievements of culturally diverse talent in film and television, including British talent, and that of stars from around the world.

DIRECTOR AND LEAD ACTOR ON BOARD FOR MICHAEL X

Director Kolton Lee (Freestyle, Cherps) and actor Clint Dyer (Unknown, Sus, Agora) are both on board to respectively direct and star in the Little Dude Films/Secret Channel Films co-production of Michael X, which is due to commence pre-production in 2012. We are currently approaching actors for the other roles in the film, so watch this space for more news updates.

FIRST TWO COMPLETED FILMS FEATURE STARS OF
DOWNTON ABBEY AND A LONELY PLACE TO DIE

Little Dude Films’ first two completed projects are two short 35mm films: Deathless and Shades of Beige. Both films are directed by Aimee Powell and feature established, award-winning screen, stage and television actors and rising stars. Deathless stars Ed Speleers (A Lonely Place To Die, Eragon), Joseph Mawle (The Awakening, Game of Thrones, Made in Dagenham, The Passion) and Jane How (Miss Potter, Poirot, Midsomer Murders). Shades of Beige stars Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Hanna, Cranford, The Turn of the Screw) and Edward Hogg (Anonymous, Bunny and the Bull, White Lightnin', Our Class).

The initial response to the Deathless short film has already been very positive. In the words of Martin Poultney, Head of Feature Film Sales at Ascent 142, who did the post production on the film: "We at Ascent 142 are very impressed with Deathless. The production values are incredibly high and it is an extremely well crafted piece on all levels. We look forward to the feature length version with anticipation."

Shades of Beige has also been very well received and has been shortlisted in several film festivals, including the 2012 London Short Film Festival. See above for more details.

LITTLE DUDE FILMS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING
THREE FEATURE FILM CO-PRODUCTIONS

We are currently developing a number of feature films, including a full length version of Deathless (London • Heaven • L.A.), as a co-production with Parkland Pictures; biopic Michael X, with writer/producer William Dingli of Secret Channel Films; and Second World War drama Red Shadows, set in Berlin, with French animator Fursy Teyssier.
